Chemical Management Challenges
Before implementing CleanChain, their online chemical management system, tracking MRSL compliance for existing chemicals in real-time during the ZDHC implementation, was a significant challenge due to the vast number of chemical categories.
Additionally, for non-compliant chemicals and products with expired certifications, they had to manually verify, organise, and communicate with each chemical manufacturer individually. This manual process was time-consuming and severely impacted their operational efficiency. Moreover, improving overall MRSL compliance posed a major challenge. Another concern they had was how their customers would respond to and accept the integration with the CleanChain platform.

CleanChain Solution
Their chemical management team consistently uploads the list of chemicals into the system on a monthly basis and downloads the In-Check report. To ensure timely submissions, CleanChain also sends automated email reminders to users about upcoming upload deadlines. Beyond regular chemical data uploads, they utilise the system’s dashboard in their daily operations to monitor products approaching expiration and those that are non-compliant. This allows them to have focused and efficient communication with chemical suppliers, guiding them to test non-compliant products and upload the results to the ZDHC Gateway.
Additionally, CleanChain’s “connect” function facilitates seamless data sharing by automatically sending CIL data and InCheck reports to their partner brands. By streamlining data management and automating report sharing, CleanChain significantly boosts the efficiency and reduces the need for manual processes.
Key Benefits
“The implementation of the CleanChain platform has significantly reduced our exposure to chemical risk substances while greatly enhancing the efficiency of our chemical management efforts. Additionally, adopting CleanChain has strengthened customer recognition and trust, particularly among those familiar with or already utilising the platform. Ultimately, CleanChain plays a key role in advancing our sustainability initiatives.”
